We PARTNER with community agencies financially to support education, healthcare, childcare, the arts, the environment, tourism, economic development, conservation, beautification and the needs and particular challenges of the community at-large.
We HOST scholarships of all sizes and varying purposes.
We ADVANCE philanthropic solutions to challenging problems.
We STRENGTHEN the community today and tomorrow.
The Starved Rock Country Community Foundation is one of 850 such foundations in the United States and 34 in the state of Illinois. Combined assets of Community Foundations in the US are over $85B. Until we opened our doors in October, 2015, the Starved Rock Country area, comprised of LaSalle, Bureau and Putnam Counties in Illinois, was one of the very few geographic areas in the state not represented by a community foundation. The SRCCF matches people who care with causes that matter to them. We make grants to our local nonprofit organizations, create and manage scholarships for local youth, and provide philanthropic leadership throughout Starved Rock Country.
